What is the Fibonacci sequence?

The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two that precede it. 

Starting at 0 and 1, the first 10 numbers of the sequence look like this: 

0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34……

The Fibonacci sequence can be described using a mathematical equation:  Xn+2= Xn+1 + Xn 

Golden ratio & piral

Two lengths are in the golden ratio when the whole is to the larger as the larger is to the smaller, a proportion that feels calm and balanced.

φ = (1+√5)/2 ≈ 1.618; 

φ² = φ + 1, 1/φ = φ − 1. 

The Fibonacci spiral is a near‑logarithmic curve that grows by φ each quarter‑turn, A friendly guide for layout and spacing.
